• Raleigh Maxwell

    Raleigh Maxwell has been ranked number 1 in the country in his Junior and Senior year. In the past two years, he’s been a finalist at the TOC. He’s made deep elimination rounds at tournaments across the country. He was the champion of St Marx Invitational. He was a finalist at The Glenbrooks, Michigan, Berkeley, the Greenhill Round Robin and at the TOC (twice!). Raleigh is planning to debate in the fall at Emory University. Outside of debate, he likes to swim, edit the school newspaper, and read in his free time.

  • Ishan Sharma

    Ishan Sharma was ranked in the top four teams throughout his senior year. This past spring, he won TOC nationals, making history as the first team from Westwood High School ever to win the tournament, following up on his victory at the Greenhill Round Robin at the start of the season. Additionally, Ishan received seven TOC bids last year alone while reaching deep elimination rounds at many major tournaments, including Berkeley, Southern Bell Forum, Glenbrooks, and TFA. Ishan's main interests in debate are Counterplan competition and T-Framework. Ishan plans to debate at the University of Michigan in the fall.

  • Mahi Shah

    Mahi Shah has been a top tier debater throughout her career in highschool. She was the top speaker at the TOC in her senior year and was a finalist at the National Debate Coaches Association Championship. She has made deep elims at Greenhill, the Glenbrooks, The Southern Bell, and the TOC. In her senior year, she was also the head of the Women and Gender Minorities in Policy Debate Collective which promotes diversity and inclusion in the debate space. She led discussions, panels, and more for gender minorities in the debate space. She plans on debating for the University of Pennsylvania in the fall. .

  • Seiji Aoki

    Seiji Aoki is a two-time Tournament of Champions qualifier with a nuanced understanding of both policy and critical debate. As a debater, he has reached deep elimination rounds at the largest tournaments in the country. He's a Utah state finalist and is known to be one of the best debaters from the area. He's a rising freshman at Harvard and plans on debating.

  • Cyrus Esmailzadeh

    Cyrus Esmailzadeh is a rising freshman at the University of Michigan. In high school, he racked up 17 career bids, reached elims of the TOC twice, and was consistently ranked among the top 10 teams in the country on the coaches poll. As a 2A, his main debate interests are research and aff strategy. Outside of debate, he enjoys sports, videogames, and listening to music.
